Schloss Buea
Schloss Buea, built in 1900 on the misty slopes of Mount Cameroon, is a Bavarian-style castle constructed as the seat of German colonial governor Jesko von Puttkamer. Also known as the Prime Minister's Lodge or Von Puttkamer's Castle, the landmark stands surrounded by manicured grounds and heavy mountain mists. Local lore speaks of phantom German officers pacing the stone verandas, classical piano music echoing from empty halls, and haunting ties to colonial conflict.
