The Horse You Came In On Saloon
Established in 1775 in the waterfront neighborhood of Fells Point, Baltimore, The Horse You Came In On Saloon (famously known to locals as 'The Horse') is the oldest continuously operating saloon in Baltimore and the only Maryland bar to survive Prohibition. Popularly celebrated as the location of Edgar Allan Poe's last drink before his mysterious death in 1849, this historic tavern is world-renowned for its macabre history, lively atmosphere, and haunting by Poe's ghost, affectionately known by staff as 'Ed.'
