Built on ground continuously dedicated to hospitality since 1741—when the Moravian brethren constructed the town's First House—the current 120-room hotel was funded by Bethlehem Steel executives. Voted America's best historic hotel, the property is famous for its collection of friendly permanent ghosts. Guests and staff routinely report encounters with May Yohe, a 1890s child singer who later owned the Hope Diamond, town guide Francis Thomas, and ghostly occurrences in Room 932, known as the 'Room with a Boo.'
