Cardona Castle
Cardona Castle, rising dramatically over the salt valleys of central Catalonia, is arguably the most formidable medieval fortress in Northeastern Spain. Founded in 886 AD by Wilfred the Hairy, Count of Barcelona, this massive stronghold of the Dukes of Cardona now operates partly as a luxury Parador hotel. It is world-renowned for intense paranormal occurrences centered in Room 712, where guests report phantom knights, shifting furniture, and weeping specters.
