Fiat Tagliero Building
Designed in 1938 by Italian engineer Giuseppe Pettazzi, the Fiat Tagliero Building in Asmara is a masterpiece of Futurist architecture resembling an airplane taking flight. Famous for its unsupported 30-meter cantilevered concrete wings, the building survived decades of conflict intact. Local urban legends whisper of Pettazzi's haunting spirit lingering near the service bays, along with phantom footsteps and phantom engine idling.
