Naggalabi Buddo Coronation Site
Naggalabi Buddo on Budo Hill in Wakiso District is the sacred coronation site where every Kabaka (king) of Buganda has been crowned since the 14th century. Born from a mythical fratricidal war between Prince Kintu and the tyrant Bemba, the name Naggalabi translates as 'the place where evil is shut out'. Imbued with ancestral royal power, its sacred trees and coronation mounds are preserved as active spirit sanctuaries.
