Shamshan Ghat Hyderabad
The Shamshan Ghat in Hyderabad, Sindh, is a historic 19th-century Hindu cremation ground situated along the banks of the Phuleli Canal. Established during the British colonial era to serve the Hindu community of Hyderabad, the walled complex features traditional red-brick cremation pyre platforms, ancient banyan trees, and small memorial shrines. Notorious throughout Sindh as one of the most frightening paranormal sites in the province, local lore describes intense supernatural activity including disembodied sounds of children playing after midnight, phantom chanting, sudden unexplainable fires, and protective spirits guarding the funeral pyres.
