Kabwata Cultural Village
Kabwata Cultural Village is a unique historical enclave in the heart of Lusaka, preserved from the colonial era as an open-air art and heritage center. Originally constructed in the 1930s by British colonial authorities as segregated housing for native African laborers, the round mud-walled grass-thatched huts now house traditional woodcarvers, weavers, and performers. Visitors and craft workers report nocturnal encounters with colonial-era spirits, disembodied footsteps on gravel paths, and unseen hands moving artisan tools.
