Situated within the densely populated Sitaphalmandi area of Secunderabad, Ravindra Nagar gained national notoriety in 2012 following a terrifying wave of mysterious suicides and unexplainable neighborhood occurrences. According to local belief, the tragic events began shortly after a small neighborhood temple was demolished during urban redevelopment. Believing the destruction had unleashed divine wrath or malevolent entities, dozens of terrified families painted religious mantras and red protective symbols on their front doors, instituted strict evening curfews, and completely abandoned their homes in fear.
