    Pobiti Kamani, known as the Stone Forest or 'Planted Stones', is an extraordinary desert-like natural phenomenon located 18 kilometres west of Varna along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Spanning an area of 7 square kilometres, the site features thousands of hollow limestone columns rising up to 7 metres high out of golden sand dunes. Formed over 50 million years ago, this ancient natural landscape was revered as a sacred Thracian sanctuary and is shrouded in legends of petrified giants, mysterious magnetic fields, and lingering ritual spirits.
