Khamar Monastery
Khamar Monastery (Khamariin Khiid) in Mongolia's Gobi Desert is renowned as a global spiritual portal and energy center. Founded in 1820 by the charismatic Nyingma master Danzanravjaa, 'The Terrible Noble Saint of the Gobi', this sacred site hosted 80 temples and 500 monks before its devastating destruction during the 1937 Communist purges. Modern pilgrims, monks, and travelers report intense electromagnetic anomalies, visual apparitions of meditating monks near northern meditation caves, and overwhelming spiritual energy emanating from the surrounding desert sands.
