Majestic Theatre
The Majestic Theatre in Pomona, Queensland, built in 1921, holds the world distinction of being the oldest continuously operating silent film cinema in the world, as well as the only one featuring a rare Compton theatre organ. Beyond its cinematic fame, the heritage venue is celebrated throughout the Sunshine Coast hinterland for persistent ghost encounters, primarily centered on its dedicated former long-time proprietor, organist, and restorer Ron Bond.
