    Stars Valley (Taref-e Setareha or Dareh-ye Setareha) on Qeshm Island is a surreal geological canyon of towering sandstone pillars, natural arches, and hollowed stone columns. According to island tradition, the valley was formed when a fallen star crashed into the earth and shattered the rock. Locals firmly believe the site becomes inhabited by Jinn and wandering nocturnal spirits after dark, whose wailing echoes through the labyrinthine stone gorges.
