The Abandoned Village of Umm Al-Aish
Umm Al-Aish is a desolate, long-abandoned desert ghost village located in the northern reaches of the Al Jahra Governorate. Established in the mid-twentieth century around a vital satellite telecommunications station and agricultural settlement, the village was destroyed and deserted during the 1990 Gulf War. Today, amidst crumbling concrete ruins and windblown sand dunes, travelers and campers report terrifying jinn encounters and phantom screams.
