    Pripyat Ghost City

    PripyatUkraine1970–1986

Pripyat is the world's most famous abandoned ghost city, located inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Founded in 1970 for power plant workers, the city was permanently evacuated following the deadly nuclear disaster on April 26, 1986. Beyond radioactive hazards, visitors and researchers report encounters with shadowy apparitions, phantom alarms, and the legendary Black Bird of Chernobyl.
