Borim Bridge
Borim Bridge, spanning the wide Zuari River to connect the talukas of Ponda and Salcete in South Goa, is widely considered one of the most terrifying and active haunted spots in Goa. Built during the Portuguese era and subsequently rebuilt after wartime destruction, the bridge carries heavy daily traffic between Ponda and Margao. However, as night falls, the bridge transforms into the setting of Goa's most chilling urban legend. According to decades of consistent eyewitness accounts, the bridge is haunted by the phantom of an agitated woman who runs frantically across the road before leaping over the railing into the dark waters below. Motorists who stop to investigate discover no splash in the river, only to find the ghostly entity sitting silently in their backseat as they drive away.
