    Savoy Hotel

    MussoorieIndia1902–present

The Savoy Hotel, opened in 1902 in the hill station of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, is one of India's grandest colonial-era hotels. Famed for its Edwardian elegance, royal guests, and literary heritage, the hotel gained eternal notoriety following the unsolved 1911 poisoning death of British spiritualist Frances Garnett-Orme. This locked-room murder inspired Agatha Christie's debut novel 'The Mysterious Affair at Styles' and gave rise to enduring legends of Miss Garnett-Orme's ghost wandering the corridors in search of her killer.

    Graduate Providence (formerly Providence Biltmore)

    ProvidenceUnited States1922

Opened on June 6, 1922, as the Providence Biltmore Hotel, the Graduate Providence is an iconic 18-story Neo-Federal and Beaux-Arts landmark positioned overlooking Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. Designed by legendary architects Warren & Wetmore, the hotel quickly became the premier social and political center of Rhode Island. Throughout its vibrant history—which includes Prohibition speakeasies, mob ties, high-society galas, and tragic falls—the building earned a reputation as one of the most heavily haunted hotels in North America, with guest accounts of spectral laughter, phantom elevator rides, and shadowy figures in the grand ballroom.
