At-Turaif District
At-Turaif in Diriyah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the historic ancestral seat of the House of Saud. Sacked and largely destroyed during the Ottoman-Saudi War of 1818, the mudbrick palace complex stood deserted for nearly two centuries, spawning tales of phantom footsteps, lingering siege spirits, and phantom calls echoing through ruined courtyards.
