House of the Weeping Widow
Tucked away in the historic Zokak el-Blat quarter near downtown Beirut, the House of the Weeping Widow—also known locally as Qasr el-Ghoul—is one of the capital's most terrifying paranormal sites. Built in the late 19th century, this crumbling Ottoman palace became infamous following the tragic deaths of its residents. Today, passersby and local residents report heart-wrenching sob echoed through empty rooms, accompanied by sudden icy drafts and specters in arched windows.
