Raniban Forest, translated as the 'Queen's Forest', is a dense, oak-and-sal covered hill located in the western Kathmandu Valley near Nagarjun. Renowned for its lush greenery, ancient stone shrines, and royal connections, the forest also possesses a chilling reputation as one of Nepal's most active paranormal hotspots. Local residents, solitary hikers, and forestry workers routinely report eerie encounters with disembodied shrieks, phantom crying, and a ghostly female figure believed to be the restless spirit of a young woman murdered within these shadowed woods decades ago.
