On February 24, 1991, nineteen young Kuwaiti resistance fighters belonging to the Al-Messilah group made a heroic ten-hour stand inside this suburban home against heavily armed Iraqi occupation forces. Preserved exactly as it was after the battle, the shell-shocked building is known for intense somber energy, phantom gunfire sounds, and tragic apparitions.

    The House of Mirrors (Khalifa & Lidia Qattan Art Museum)

    The House of Mirrors, situated in the residential Qadsiya district of Kuwait City, is a world-renowned private artistic masterpiece created by the late Italian-born artist Lidia al-Qattan and her husband, pioneer Kuwaiti artist Khalifa al-Qattan. Every wall, floor, and ceiling inside the private residence is covered in intricate mosaic patterns made from over seventy-seven tons of mirror glass. At night, local folklore speaks of eerie reflections and spectral presences.
