Mohatta Palace
Mohatta Palace, located in the affluent seaside enclave of Clifton in Karachi, is an iconic 1927 Indo-Saracenic mansion built by Marwari Hindu businessman Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta. Following Partition in 1947, the palace was taken over by the Pakistani government and served as the official residence of Fatima Jinnah, sister of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Today operated as a premier museum, the estate is famous throughout Pakistan for recurring reports of paranormal phenomena including shifting museum artifacts, spectral lights, phantom footsteps in night corridors, and spirit guardians from the British Raj era.
