Kórnik Castle
Located near Poznań in Greater Poland, Kórnik Castle is an exquisite English Neo-Gothic palace surrounded by a scenic lake and expansive arboretum. Originally built in the fifteenth century, the castle owes its current appearance to extensive nineteenth-century renovations commissioned by the noble Działyński family. Despite its serene botanical surroundings, Kórnik Castle is internationally famous for Poland's most celebrated ghost story: the White Lady, identified as the eighteenth-century noblewoman Teofila Działyńska.
