Al Wajbah Fort is one of Qatar's oldest and most historically significant fortresses, situated 15 kilometers west of Doha. Site of the famous 1893 Battle of Al Wajbah where Qatari tribal forces under Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani defeated Ottoman troops, the fort stands as a historic symbol of national sovereignty. Phantom battle cries, horse hooves, and spectral guards are frequently reported.
Naletale Ruins is widely celebrated as the most aesthetically ornate dry-stone monument in Southern Africa, constructed atop a granite hill overlooking the Somabhula Flats. Built by the Torwa Dynasty and later occupied by the Rozvi Empire in the seventeenth century, its magnificent walls showcase six distinct decorative masonry patterns and carry eerie tales of phantom sentinels, lost royal gold, and protective spirit guardians.
