    Wadi al-Jinn

MedinaSaudi ArabiaGeological origin / Ancient lore

Wadi al-Jinn, officially located in Wadi Al Baida park northwest of Medina, is a famous desert valley renowned across the Middle East for an extraordinary anti-gravity optical illusion. For generations, local Bedouin lore and visiting pilgrims have attributed the strange physical phenomenon—where motor vehicles left in neutral gear appear to roll uphill without engine power—to the supernatural power of invisible jinn inhabiting the surrounding granite hills.
