Devghat Dham
Devghat Dham is one of Nepal's most revered Hindu pilgrimage destinations, situated at the sacred confluence ('Veni') of the Kali Gandaki and Trishuli rivers where the borders of Chitwan, Tanahun, and Nawalparasi meet. Famous for its ancient ashrams, hermitages, and cremation ghats, Devghat attracts elderly devotees who come to live out their final days in spiritual devotion ('Kashi-vas'). The combination of sacred funeral pyres, ancient cave hermitages, and swirling river waters creates a potent atmosphere where pilgrims report supernatural encounters with ascetics, glowing river lights, and spectral chants echoing through the misty valley.
