Horningsea Park Estate
Located in the City of Liverpool southwest of Sydney, Horningsea Park is a historic 19th-century estate and surrounding residential suburb built upon land granted by Governor Lachlan Macquarie in 1819. The grand bluestone and brick homestead, constructed between 1830 and 1839 by Lieutenant Joshua John Moore, carries a famous supernatural reputation. Local lore claims the residential area is among the most haunted in Liverpool because portions of modern housing developments were constructed over old pioneer burial plots whose graves were relocated during urban expansion.
