Fort Patiko
Fort Patiko, also known as Baker's Fort, in Gulu District is a historical military stone fortress completed in 1872 by British explorer Sir Samuel Baker. Built on a rocky outcrop originally used as a brutal slave holding market by Arab slave traders, the fort witnessed widespread atrocities and executions. Haunted by the agonizing history of the slave trade, visitors and locals report haunting screams, phantom chains, and restless apparitions amongst its stone ruins.
