Princess Alexandra Hospital
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), located in Woolloongabba, Brisbane, is one of Queensland's largest teaching hospitals. Constructed on the historic site of the Diamantina Hospital for Chronic Diseases and opened in 1956, the hospital has served millions of patients over nearly seven decades. Beyond its medical reputation, the PA Hospital is famous across Brisbane for several persistent urban legends, including reports of a spectral 'ghost bus' seen outside the main entrance, phantom footsteps echoing along basement service tunnels, and ghost sightings in legacy wards A1 and D Pod.
