    Mount Holly Cemetery

    Little RockUnited States1843

Established in February 1843, Mount Holly Cemetery in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas, is proudly known as 'The Westminster Abbey of Arkansas.' Resting behind native stone walls and wrought-iron gates, the historic four-block cemetery contains the graves of ten Arkansas governors, three U.S. senators, five Confederate generals, twenty Little Rock mayors, and 17-year-old boy martyr David O. Dodd. Renowned for its Victorian funerary art and lush gardens, Mount Holly carries an active paranormal reputation featuring reported sightings of floating white statues, ghostly light apparitions, disembodied flute music, and trinkets mysteriously appearing on grave markers.
