Devil's Pool (Babinda Boulders)
Devil's Pool, located within the Babinda Boulders precinct south of Cairns, Queensland, is one of Australia's most infamous natural sites. Sacred to the local Yidinji Aboriginal people, the stunning tropical waterhole carries a centuries-old curse stemming from the tragic legend of Oolana. Over 20 young men have drowned in its churning waters since the 1950s, fueling worldwide stories of a deadly spectral lure.
