Cinco Saltos
Cinco Saltos is a municipality in the Alto Valle region of Río Negro Province, Northern Patagonia. Founded in 1914 along the Neuquén River irrigation canals, the agricultural town is famous across South America under the moniker 'The City of Witches' (La Ciudad de las Brujas). Renowned for dark folklore surrounding witchcraft rituals, black magic gatherings near Lake Pellegrini, and strange discoveries—including the 1930 mummified corpse of a young girl preserved in a zinc coffin—Cinco Saltos is widely regarded as one of Argentina's most sinister paranormal locations.
