    Castillo Naveira

    LujánArgentina1841–1897

Castillo Naveira (originally known as Villa Cattaneo) is a spectacular Neo-Gothic castle hidden within an expansive forest near Luján in Buenos Aires Province. Designed by Ernesto Moreau—one of the architects responsible for the famous Basilica of Luján—the castle was commissioned in 1897 by Elena Fernández de Cattaneo and later expanded by the prominent Naveira family. Featuring fairy-tale spires, stained glass, gargoyles, and secluded parklands, this privately owned fortress is surrounded by local legends of hidden secret passages, nocturnal specters, and ghostly music playing from sealed upper towers.
