Nardaran Fortress
Nardaran Fortress is a medieval stone tower fortress built in 1301 AD by architect Mahmud ibn Sa'd in the coastal settlement of Nardaran near Baku. Featuring a massive circular tower enclosed by square stone curtain walls, this coastal stronghold defended the northern Absheron shore against maritime raiders and pirate incursions. The fortress is shrouded in dark folklore involving slaughtered coastal defenders, cursed Arabic wall inscriptions, and phantom apparitions haunting its circular interior chambers.
