Foy's Lake
Foy’s Lake is a sprawling man-made reservoir created in 1924 by the Assam Bengal Railway under the supervision of British civil engineer Mr. Foy. Nestled among forested clay hills in Pahartali, Chattogram, the lake was constructed to provide freshwater to railway workers and steam locomotives. Over the decades, the lake developed a chilling reputation due to numerous drownings, mysterious boat overturns, and the famous urban legend of the 'Black Lady of Foy’s Lake'—a ghostly female figure seen floating above the water surface at dusk and vanishing near the dense hill treelines.
