    Kreva Castle (Krevo Castle) is a historic 14th-century stone fortress situated in Smorgon District, western Belarus. Constructed by Grand Duke Gediminas, Kreva is one of the earliest stone castles in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the site of monumental political betrayals, including the 1382 murder of Grand Duke Kęstutis. The dramatic ruined walls are haunted by the legend of a maiden walled alive with her dog and the clanking phantoms of medieval siege battles.
