Sviatsk Palace
Sviatsk Palace (Svyatsk Manor / Wołowicz Palace) is an exquisite 18th-century Baroque-Neoclassical estate situated near Grodno in western Belarus. Designed in 1779 by Italian architect Giuseppe de Sacco for Count Józef Wołowicz, the estate is famous for its grand canal park and the tragic haunting legend of the Black Maiden of Sviatsk—a young noble daughter immured alive in a stone column by her unforgiving father.
