Sacred to the indigenous Dusun people for over five centuries, Tasek Merimbun is rich in supernatural folklore, including tales of Buaya Putih (the spectral White Crocodile guardian), unseen Bunian spirit villages on the island, and phantom chants echoing across the mist-shrouded black water at dawn.
