Lobe Waterfalls
Lobe Waterfalls, located near the coastal resort city of Kribi in southern Cameroon, is a rare natural spectacle where the Lobe River cascades over a series of basalt steps directly into the Atlantic Ocean. Deeply revered by the indigenous Batanga, Mabi, and Pygmy communities, the waterfalls serve as a sacred site for traditional purification rites and ancestral offerings. Local traditions speak of Mami Wata mermaid sightings, phantom ocean melodies, and spirit lights over the waves.
