Tat Tak School
Tat Tak School in Ping Shan, Yuen Long, is widely regarded as the most infamous and dangerous haunted location in Hong Kong. Founded in 1931 and relocated to its present premises in 1965, the abandoned school carries a dark history tied to wartime massacres, local villager deaths during British colonial land resistance, and the tragic suicide of a former headmistress dressed in red. Enclosed by dense overgrown vegetation, iron fences, and barbed wire, the site has drawn urban explorers, paranormal investigators, and media crews from around the globe, earning a spot on National Geographic’s list of most haunted places in Asia.
