Ghost Town

Fengmen Village
Fengmen Village, nestled deep in the rugged Taihang Mountains of Henan Province near Qinyang City, is widely hailed as 'China's Number One Ghost Village.' Built during the Qing Dynasty, the stone village was gradually abandoned by the late 1980s due to extreme isolation, lack of water, and difficult transport. Urban legend, however, attributes its desertion to unnatural phenomena, including a cursed Qing-style armchair, disembodied whispers calling hikers by name, and strange compass disruptions, making it an iconic destination for Chinese outdoor thrill-seekers.
