Ancient Port Ruins of Adulis
Adulis was the primary Red Sea port of the Kingdom of Aksum and one of the ancient world's major trade hubs, linking the Mediterranean, Arabia, and India. Buried under silt for over a millennium after its destruction around 700 AD, its excavated basalt temples and stone pillars stand near modern Zula. Local legends whisper of ancient maritime phantoms, subterranean merchant voices, and mysterious spectral lights drifting across the coastal mounds.
