Temple of Yeha
The Temple of Yeha is the oldest standing structure in Ethiopia, dating back to the 8th century BC during the pre-Aksumite Kingdom of D'mt. Constructed without mortar using dressed limestone blocks, the majestic tower was dedicated to the moon god Almaqah. Local villagers and researchers speak of ancient Sabaean chants echoing across the ruins, glowing alter lights, and guardian spirits watching over subterranean treasure vaults.
