Château de Trécesson
Rising dramatically from a wide, water-filled moat on the edge of Arthurian Brocéliande Forest, Château de Trécesson is one of Brittany's most picturesque late-medieval moated fortresses. Built from distinctive reddish slate, the castle is steeped in Breton legends, most notably the haunting tale of La Mariée de Trécesson (The Bride of Trécesson), a young woman buried alive on her wedding night whose ghostly phantom still haunts the estate grounds.
