Château de Puymartin
Perched dramatically above the wooded hills of Périgord Noir in southwestern France, Château de Puymartin is a fairytale medieval fortress steeped in noble history and ghostly lore. The castle is world-famous for the tragic legend of La Dame Blanche (The White Lady), Thérèse de Saint-Clar, who was locked in a tower room by her jealous husband for sixteen years during the 16th century. Her ghost continues to wander the ramparts and staircase towers of her former prison.
