Château de Veuce
Tucked away in the tranquil Bourbonnais countryside in central France, Château de Veuce is a romantic 11th-century medieval fortress with a notorious paranormal reputation. The castle is internationally famous for the ghost of Lucie, a 16th-century servant girl who died of grief and cold after being imprisoned in the fortress clock tower by a jealous noblewoman. Her apparition gained world fame in 1984 when a live BBC radio broadcast recorded unexplainable acoustic and visual phenomena in her tower cell.
