    Babenhausen Barracks is an expansive, historic military installation in southern Hesse. Built in 1900 for Imperial German artillery units, the base served German forces through both World Wars before becoming a major installation for the United States Army from 1945 until 2007. American soldiers stationed here over decades documented intense paranormal occurrences, including apparitions of World War II German soldiers, ghostly lights, and eerie nocturnal telephone calls.
