Conn Barracks
Conn Barracks in Schweinfurt, Bavaria, is one of Germany’s most notorious former military bases. Originally constructed in 1936 as a Luftwaffe airbase and hospital complex during the Nazi era, the base was captured in 1945 by American forces and named in honor of Orval H. Conn, a fallen U.S. soldier. Over seven decades of American occupation, deployed soldiers documented terrifying paranormal activity in the old mess halls and subterranean drainage tunnels.
