Davelis Cave
Davelis Cave, situated on the southwestern slopes of Mount Penteli near Athens, is one of Greece's most famous focal points for paranormal phenomena and occult folklore. Ancient marble quarrymen carved sanctuary niches for Pan and the Nymphs into its mouth during the classical era, but its modern notoriety stems from a 19th-century outlaw, secretive 1970s military engineering projects, electromagnetic anomalies, and recurring reports of phantom spirits and glowing orbs.
