Sanatorium of Agia Eleousa
The Sanatorium of Agia Eleousa (Sanatorio di Campochiaro), located in a pine-forested mountain village on the island of Rhodes, is a imposing derelict Italian colonial facility built in 1935. Originally established by Italian fascist authorities as a tuberculosis hospital, its isolated mountain history, high mortality rate among patients, and decades of creepy abandonment have made it a premier site for ghost hunters in the Dodecanese.
